The design embodies' the latest low energy/sustainability best practice of natural stack ventilation via the atrium and night time cooling via the building fabric, all controlled by an energy efficient Building Management System.

In 2002 the ‘Atrium’ received a City Heritage Award from Chichester District Council for Outstanding Architectural Design.
